The Recreation Africa Group and Kedar Heritage Lodge are custodians of the Paul Kruger Country House Museum, adjacent to Kedar. The Group has proudly restored  and maintained  this wonderful piece of heritage, and has preserved and displayed  historic memorabilia and documents from the South African War era.

Much of the memorabilia is incorporated into the Kedar Heritage Lodge and the group continues  to collect and safeguard vital pieces from that time. Many statues and memorials have been erected on the property, commemorating the valuable contributions of many  in the South African War.
